*Film Analysis*

Movie: THE LAST SONG
Ordinary World- Girl named Ronnie moves to a new town to live with her dad. She hates it and becomes even more rebelous then before. "Stop smiling dad, it's creeping me out."
Call to Adventrue- She meets a boy named Will and suprisingly he seems pretty interested... is she going to let herself fall for him? He's not even really her type. Handsome, athlete, genuine, giving... usually she likes the bad boys. "Wow... I hardly recognized you without your shirt on pretty boy."
Refusal of the Call- But Will is persistant! Yet Ronnie keeps her distance from him. "Your different Ronnie... in a good way."
Meeting the Mentor-Ronnie is kind of Ronnie's own mentor in a sense
Crossing the Threshold-
Tests, Allies, and Enemies- While Ronnie was in her "rebelous" stage she befriended the wrong kind of people. Blaze was her so-called "friend" who framed her for robbery. That entire group of friends makes Ronnie's life really difficult and give her a hard time. "We want you Ronnie... but for all the wrong reasons."
Approach the Inmost Cave- Ronnie decides to turn her life around. She lends Blaze money to pay for her rent, she starts hanging out with her dad and brother more often, and she starts being more kind and gentle towards Will. She becomes rocking girlfriend material. "Whatever you do with the money Blaze, I hope you're smart with it."
The Ordeal- There are SOOOO many ordeals in this movie. It's a constant tear fest! Will's parents don't like Ronnie, she has bad friends, and so on and on and on. But probably the biggest ordeal is when she finds out that her dad is dying of cancer. It hits Ronnie and her brother really hard. She regrets not spending more time with him during the summer but intends on making it up with the time he's got left. During this time Ronnie and Will also break up. It's a rough time for the poor girl! :(
Reward- Once she starts spending more time with her dad that's the reward itself! She finally has a real and powerful bond with him.
Road Back- The funeral is what brings her back. It brings her back to old memories, good times and hobbies. When Ronnie was a child she was upset with her dad for leaving her mom. To get revenge on him she stops her heaven-sent gift which was the piano BUT on her road back she ends up playing at his funeral. She has a piece of him that can be with her forever now.
Resurrection- I feel like Ronnie's father is resurrected in a sense when his masterpiece of a stained glass window gets put up in the chuch. Ronnie is also resurrected when she becomes herself again and lets go of all her anger.
Return with Elixir- Will ends up coming to the funeral. They hadn't spoken since the break-up but love NEVER FAILS! So naturally they get back together, grieve for  a while, then end up living happily ever after. PRECIOUS!
